RENO — In an effort to increase the number of people living in poverty helped through their Emergency Assistance Program, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) will soon begin distributing pre-packaged hygiene kits to clients who visit their location at 500 E. Fourth St. in downtown Reno.

CARSON CITY — In conjunction with National Police Week, at noon today the 16th Annual Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial ceremony will be held on the capitol grounds in Carson City. The service will honor the 123 Nevada Peace Officers that have been killed in the line of duty since 1861.
