My name is Buckeye and I am a spayed, female, black and white border collie mix. I am estimated to be 9 years old. I have been at the shelter since July 15. My ID number is A105776.

The shelter staff says I’m one of those dogs who rarely comes along and is very warm-hearted. I’m good with all people, including children. I need a home with people who will walk me every day and give me a warm bed to sleep in. I am so sweet, that I won’t let you down.

If you are my owner, a picture ID, such as a driver’s license, is required to redeem me. In some cases, additional proof of ownership could be required such as the pet’s picture or registration records. Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required for all dogs, cats and ferrets in Nevada.

If I am not redeemed by my owner, when I have completed my stray holding time I can be available for adoption through the Nevada Humane Society.

For more information on adoption, contact the Nevada Humane Society at 856-2000.

Washoe County Regional Animal Services is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except holidays).
