RENO — Labyrinth gardens have been used for centuries as tools for healing, meditation and bringing peace into people’s lives. Learn how these patterned circuits have offered solace for people of all faiths throughout the centuries during a free program presented by Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space at the May Arboretum’s Labyrinth Garden at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Rancho San Rafael Botanical Society volunteer Susan Stewart will lead a walk through the county’s Labyrinth Garden and explain the development and use of labyrinth gardens throughout history.

The Labyrinth Garden at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is located at 1595 N. Sierra St.

The Labyrinth Garden at the May Arboretum and Botanical Garden is dedicated to victims of violent crime in our community and their loved ones. The garden project was initiated by the Washoe County district attorney’s office, Nevada attorney general’s office and Victims in Crisis, Turmoil or Recovery (VICTORY).
