RENO — Discover the world of Rembrandt today at noon as University of Nevada, Reno lecturer David Fenimore discusses the confluence of art and science, and religious and philosophical responses to the Reformation, central to life in the Netherlands in the seventeenth century. Rembrandt’s time was marked by a new era of questioning and scientific discovery, as well as political, cultural and social upheaval.

Art Bites at the Nevada Museum of Art give attendees the opportunity to experience an informal and intimate introduction to works in the galleries over a short half-hour dialogue. The event costs $5, however, museum members pay $4.

The Art Bite series is supported in part by the Gabelli Foundation. The Nevada Museum of Art is located at 160 W. Liberty St. in Reno. Call 329-3333 or visit www.nevadaart.org for more information.
