SUN VALLEY — On Saturday, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call in the 100 block of Heritage Drive on a report of a child abuse.

At about 11 p.m., deputies arrived on scene and located the 4-year-old female victim. Deputies saw evidence of several visible injuries to the child. The suspect, Craig Jennings, is the father of the victim.

Jennings had fled the scene but was later located at a residence in Sparks, where he was taken into custody.

The victim was examined and treated for her injuries and is in good condition.

Jennings was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility for child abuse and domestic battery. His bail was set at $50,000.
